Includes more than twelve hundred letters, from 5638/1877 when the leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch was still in the hands of his father, the Rebbe MaHaRash, until close to his passing in 5680/1920, an era in which Russian Jews were prominent upon the world stage while facing severe trials from without and within.
